My Antarctica collection of notes.......

I am not sure what to think of the notes posted below. I wasnt sure if the notes were printed by a government entity representing Antarctica or not. It seems as they are not since finding this quote- 'These bills are not legal tender money of Antarctica or anywere else, but they are honored for their face value throughout their validity period.' I am not sure what that means, if they are not legal tender, then who will honor them at face value?

Either way, These colorful notes are very beautiful.

The bills are printed by the British American Banknote Co., using four color lithography on woven paper with numerous security features.

This is a 2007 $1 polymer note. Is this a marketing gimick or actual currency? I just don't know. Gotta love the Penguins however!
